A 4,000-ft reverse circulation drilling program is commencing at Energex Minerals’ (VSE) and Geostar Mining’s Gold Springs project located 150 miles northeast of Las Vegas on the Nevada-Utah border.
By funding the program, Geostar will have earned a 49% interest in seven mineral properties comprising the joint venture. Energex will retain a 51% interest.
Drilling will focus on the Jumbo prospect, an epithermal system with widths up to 150 ft which has been traced along a strike of 2,000 ft. The Etna prospect, 5,000 ft along strike to the south of the Jumbo, will also be a target.
The Gold Springs property encompasses 13 former gold producers.
