Encouraging results have been released by Maufort Resources from its Tiblemont gold property in northwestern Quebec. Geological surveys, trenching, channel sampling and drilling indicate five different gold-bearing zones, the company reports.
Some of the better results from channel sampling done this summer on the property, located 40 km east of Val d’Or, include 0.32 oz gold per ton across 3.3 ft from zone 2, 0.28 oz across 5 ft from zone 14 and 0.22 oz across 5 ft from zone 16.
Two of the zones have been delineated and show a continuous horizon of significant grade and width, the company reports. Visible gold was reported in core samples from a number of drill holes. Among the better drilling results were 0.78 oz across 5 ft in hole TI-87-03, 0.24 oz across 2.3 ft in hole TI-87-10 and 0.2 oz across 4 ft in hole TI-87-11.
