A new zone is shaping up in the central part of the Goldstack Resour ces’ Dubuisson Twp. property, reports President Herve Drolet.
Located about seven miles west of Val d’Or Que., the property contains part of the old Malartic Goldfields’ property which has indicated reserves of 869,193 tons grading 0.179 oz gold per ton.
Sullivan Mines under an agreement dated Oct 5, 1984, is funding the exploration work. Sullivan has an option to acquire a 50% interest by spending $600,000 before Dec 31.
Last month, Hole 86-18 returned a 41 ft intersection from 908.5 ft to 949.5 ft grading 0.24 oz gold per ton.
Since then, Hole 86-20 drilled below the zone in 86-18 cut 29.5 ft from 992.0 ft to 1021.5 ft and averaged 0.13 oz. Hole 86-21 was drilled 100 ft west of 86-20 and has cut a wide zone, 60 ft to 70 ft, of well mineralized diorite on which assays are being awaited.
Hole 86-22 is now drilling to intersect the zone 100 ft above the section in hole 86-21.
