Research grants totalling $2 million will be used to support resource-related projects for 1992-93. This funding comes from the federal Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (EMR) and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC).
The grants support the exchange of technological innovation between the private sector and the government.
Since April, 1990, NSERC has been contributing additional support to university-based projects.
