Eldorado predicts increase in grade

Encouraged by results from infill drilling, Eldorado (VSE) predicts an increase in grade at the El Creston deposit, one of three known deposits on the La Colorada project near Hermosillo, Mexico.

The 1,066-ft. reverse circulation drill program returned impressive results including 180 ft. grading 0.089 oz. gold per ton from 0-180 ft., and 118 ft. of 0.068 oz. gold from 0-118 ft. Both holes ended in mineralization and are open to depth.

Before the infill drill program began, the La Colorada project was estimated to host near-surface preliminary reserves totalling 4.9 million tons grading 0.037 oz. gold. Eldorado said the latest results indicate that the initial production ore grade will exceed the previously announced reserves, and may increase the deposit’s overall grade.

Several other holes began and ended in mineralization. Results from these holes are 171 ft. of 0.050 oz. gold, 98 ft. of 0.069 oz. gold, and 79 ft. of 0.062 oz. gold.

One hole returned 131 ft. of 0.039 oz. gold but did not end in mineralization, while another returned 203 ft. of 0.053 oz. from 59-262 ft., and ended in mineralization.
