From the useless-news-release department comes an announcement that the Earth Observation Satellite Company (EOSAT) has appointed a sales representative in Mongolia. EOSAT, which operates the U.S. Landsat remote sensing satellite program and markets the data, was obviously excited about the development. “EOSAT has long viewed Mongolia as an excellent potential market for Landsat data,” says Executive Vice-President Peter Norris in the release. Now, he says, EOSAT will be able to “tap into the diverse remote sensing market in this part of the world.”
We’re not sure how significant an impact Mongolian sales will have on EOSAT’s bottom line, but we wish them well. In the meantime, just send future announcements to our agent in Outer Slobodia.
