Ecudor new name of La Pause Res.

Quebec junior-mining firm La Pause Resources has a new name: Ecudor Mining Society.

The name change and a share consolidation, on a 10-old-shares- for-1-new-share basis, were approved at the company’s recent annual meeting. Prior to the consolidation, the company had 11 million shares outstanding.

The company has also arranged a private offering with Societe en Commandite Sofimines 1987 whereby Ecudor will receive between $623,023 and $1,163,404 by issuing a minimum of 2,130,711 shares and a maximum of 3,977,450 shares to Sofimines. Following the issue, Sofimines will hold an interest of between 24% and 41% in Ecudor.

President Serge Sejourne reports that after two years of exploration and expenditures of $4 million, the company’s Tremoy and Adanac properties have reached the evaluation stage. Both projects are situated in the Rouyn-Noranda area.

Three gold showings have been identified on the Tremoy property. At Adanac, the company has graded the land, cleaned out an existing shaft opening (the shaft was sunk in the 1930s) and built the tailings pond.

On La Pause property, located northeast of Rouyn-Noranda and next to the Doyon mine, mineralization containing gold, silver and platinum has been intersected.
