Eastmaque boosts production from American Girl

A record monthly rate of gold production was reported by Eastmaque Gold Mines (TSE) from its American Girl mining joint venture in Imperial Cty., Calif. During the month of January, production reached a record 3,070 oz. at the mine, also known as the Cargo Muchacho project. Eastmaque’s Kirkland Lake tailings project contributed an additional 1,707 oz. gold in January.

In mid-February, Eastmaque began processing ore through its newly constructed crusher at Cargo Muchacho. The company expects that, following a short commissioning period, the crusher will be operating at its maximum rate of 120,000 tons of ore from the American Girl Canyon open pit operations. An additional 15,000 tons is expected to be processed from the underground operations.
