A basal till sampling program has identified 28 geochemical gold anomalies in the Eastmain River area of Quebec, Eastmain Resources says. Of the 28 anomalies, 21 will be followed up with more sampling and seven will be tested by diamond drilling.
The drill targets display coincident geochemical and ground geophysical anomalies, one of which is associated with a narrow quartz vein grading up to 0.4 oz gold per ton in a grab sample. A $475,000 flow- through financing has been arranged. The funds must be spent by the end of June.
On the Westmain project, also in Quebec, a 12,500-ft drill program is in progress. MSV Resources, which can earn a 30% interest in the property, is funding the project. Westmin Resources is the other partner.
