Vancouver-listed East West Resource (VSE) has obtained funds to start a work program on its Heyson Twp. property near Red Lake, Ont.
Line-cutting crews are on site, and have started a grid of about 40 km to cover the extension of the main gold showing.
East West reports that three other gold showings have been located on the property, two of which align with the main showing, 600 metres and 1,000 metres to the west, respectively. Another showing, 2 km to the northwest, is reported to have a previous drill intersection of 0.25 oz. gold per ton over 7 ft.
East West says gold values were returned from several showings by previous sampling programs. The samples with the highest-grade gold values contained disseminated sulphides such as pyrite, galena and sphalerite.
Drilling is planned, along with limited trenching of at least two of the showing areas.
Four initial holes will be drilled to confirm the width and strike of the zone exposed at the showings, and to test the zones along strike.
