Earth science students and their prospects will be the focus of the next dinner meeting of the Toronto branch of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy & Petroleum (CIM).
The Student’s Night dinner, which takes place at the Ontario Club in Toronto on Jan. 18, will feature guest speakers Maureen Jensen of Noble Peak Resources and David Harquail of Redstone Resources. Both will address the topic, “Opportunities in the Mining Industry.”
Jensen has worked for Canadian Mines Services, Terra Mining & Exploration and BP Minerals. In addition to her role as president and chief executive officer of Noble Peak, she is vice-president of Midasco Gold.
Harquail, Redstone’s president and chief executive officer, has also held mining-related jobs with Chase Manhattan, the Bank of Montreal and Denison Mines. In addition, he was a mining analyst and gold fund manager with investment counselling firm Beutel Goodman.
