E3 manual goes online

Users will have their first peek at the Environmental Excellence in Exploration (E3) e-manual in early August, when the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada makes part of it available for viewing at www.e3mining.com

The manual is designed to encourage high standards in environmental protection and will contain information on environmental management practices.

The demonstration site will be also be used as a sales and marketing tool, offering potential subscribers a taste of what E3 ultimately will look like. E3 is slated for completion early next year, and the first version will be launched at the PDAC convention in March 2003 in Toronto.

The manual is being assembled with the help of technical consultants from sponsoring organizations, as well as specialists from diamond drilling, web-page design, and other fields.

This past spring, project manager Neil Westoll made two E3 presentations in Vancouver. The first was at the annual conference of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum. The second was at the Nuna Research Conference on Sustainability in the 21st Century.
