Dynacor sampling confirms gold

Sampling of old workings by Dynacor Mines (DYN-V) has confirmed gold grades at the Tumipampa property in the Peruvian Andes.

Of 45 vertical exploration shafts sampled in the last half of 2001, 14 carried significant gold values. Most ran between 0.1 and 4 grams gold per tonne, but a single shaft, No. 14, returned a sample grading 32.1 grams. Samples from another seven shafts returned between 0.03 and 0.1 gram per tonne.

Tumipampa is in Apurimac province, 52 km south of the town of Abancay. The gold mineralization is in veins in a quartzite unit that is intruded by a granodiorite porphyry.

More field mapping and sampling is under way, and an in- duced-polarization and resistivity survey is planned, to outline targets for drilling. Dynacor is earning a 60% interest in the Tumipampa I and II properties from Peruvian company Tumipampa S.R.L. by spending US$1.3 million by the end of June 2006. Tumipampa S.R.L. also receives Dynacor shares and cash on a 5-year payment schedule.
