A 6-hole drill program totalling 2,000 metres is under way at the Lew volcanogenic copper-zinc property, 20 km east-northeast of Flin Flon, Man.
Partners Thunderwood Resources (THS-T) and Consolidated Abitibi Resources (CAG-M) plan to test a target (identified in 1991 by Granges), which contains high-grade massive stringer chalcopyrite-pyrrhotite and banded sphalerite-chalcopyrite-pyrite mineralization. The two largest zones contain a combined drill-indicated resource of 80,000 tonnes grading 3.65% copper and 1.94% zinc above a depth of 150 metres. The zones remain open at depth.
