Three John Sadowski companies, Michele Gold Mines, Master Resources & Development, and Massive Resources, all of Toronto, plan to start drilling on ground five km southeast of the Golden Patricia mine in the Pickle Lake area of northwestern Ontario. About 10,000 ft of drilling is planned.
“Drilling would have started earlier,” says David Saunders of Massive, “but we had to fire the drilling company we hired from B.C.”
The change of contractors has set the program back by about a month.
The ground, covering two mafic rock packages sandwiched between a single felsic volcanic package, lies northwest of a felsic pluton near Kaminiskag Lake.
The ground was optioned from Harry Hodge, a major land-holder in the area.
Soil sampling last year turned up three anomalous samples which will be followed up with drilling.
