Partners Aur Resources (TSE), Thunderwood Resources (TSE) and Champion Resources (VSE) have begun drilling the Jones Hill volcanogenic massive sulphide deposit near Albuquerque, N.M.
Nearly 7,000 ft. in two deep holes followed by downhole pulse electromagnetic surveys are planned. The priority is the Lower zone where massive sulphides up to 85 ft. in true thickness have been intersected over a horizontal distance of 1,000 ft. and a vertical distance of 1,500 ft. Previous intersections from this zone include: 2.21% copper and 3.81% zinc over 40 ft.; 0.73% copper and 4.98% zinc over 47 ft.; and 1% copper and 8.42% zinc over 28 ft.
The Lower zone remains unexplored both along strike and down-plunge in the direction of increasing copper grades.
This first-phase program is expected to last 10-12 weeks.
