Drilling to start at AOK claims of Takla Star

An initial 9,000-ft. drilling program by Takla Star Resources (ASE) is about to begin on the company’s AOK gold-copper property located about eight miles southwest of Placer Dome’s Mt. Milligan gold-copper project and 50 miles north of Fort St. James, B.C.

The junior recently completed an integrated surface exploration program comprising geology, geophysics and heavy mineral sampling. The drill program is designed to test several coincident magnetic and induced polarization targets which are flanked by gold anomalies.

Takla Star said the AOK property shows similarities to the nearby Mt. Milligan deposit, and to other alkaline porphyry gold-copper deposits in British Columbia.
