Drilling tests Bylund prospect

Joint-venture partners Freewest Resources Canada (FWR-T) and Greater Lenora Resources (GEN-T) have drilled three holes on their Bylund gold property, 55 km west of Thunder Bay, Ont.

Drill results are: 6.6 metres (from 98 to 104.6 metres) grading 1.1 grams gold per tonne in hole 1; 1.8 metres (from 39.6 to 41.4 metres) grading 20.3 grams gold and 2.3 metres (from 51.8 to 54.1 metres) of 2.81 grams gold in hole 2; and 1.4 metres (from 54.8 to 56.2 metres) of 0.54 gram gold in hole 3.

The drilling tested the depth of the Bylund occurrence, which was recently stripped to reveal a broad, north-northeast-trending deformation zone in carbonatized and silicified sediments.

Following an induced-polarization survey, the partners will carry out additional trenching and drilling.
