Drilling planned for Beatty-Hislop

Noranda Exploration has recommended further drilling at a property near Matheson, Ont., reports Glimmer Resources (VSE).

Norex is exploring the property, in Beatty and Hislop Twps., on behalf of Hemlo Gold Mines (TSE). Glimmer would contribute $144,000 (or 40%). An 11-hole program completed in December, 1992, intersected two highly altered parallel zones in the footwall, as well as high-grade values on the downdip extension of the East zone.

Preliminary reserves are about 1.2 million tonnes at 11.4 grams per tonne (0.334 oz. per ton).
