Drilling planned at Bend deposit

The joint venture of Sharpe Energy & Resources (CDN), Freewest Resources Canada (TSE) and Cyprus Amax Minerals (NYSE) will drill an electromagnetic (EM) anomaly 3.7 km northeast of the Bend massive sulphide deposit in Taylor Cty, Wis.

The new target was outlined in winter, 1995; its EM response is similar to that of the Bend, and it sits in the same host stratigraphy.

Sharpe Energy has sold some of its oil and gas interests to reduce its debt and provide additional working capital for hydrocarbon and mineral exploration projects.
