Drilling near Seabee mine nets results for Claude Res.

The success of the first phase of winter drilling near the Seabee gold mine has provided Claude Resources (CRJ-T) with new exploration targets.

Claude owns the Seabee mine, 125 km northeast of La Ronge, Sask., and holds an option to acquire from Currie Rose Resources (CUI-V) the 4,458-ha property surrounding the mine. If Claude earns in, Currie Rose would retain a 30% net profits interest.

The recent drilling included five holes on the Seabee mine property and 10 on the Currie Rose holdings. The program was designed to test a 225-metre segment of one of the Seabee mine’s primary ore structures, the 2c vein. This goal was accomplished, and a new vein was also discovered, dubbed the 10 vein. This new structure has an estimated strike length in the thousands of metres, stretching completely across the Seabee property on to the Currie Rose claims.

One of the recent holes, S594, drilled on the Seabee side, hit 20.8 metres (13.4 metres true width) of 23.97 grams gold per tonne. Claude officials have made the area of this intersection the target of upcoming underground exploration.

Other significant intersections include 8.6 metres of 13.76 grams gold per tonne, 5.68 metres of 13.21 grams, 5.3 metres of 18.5 grams, 8.5 metres of 15.61 grams, 3.1 metres of 29.88 grams, 3.9 metres of 16.45 grams and 2.6 metres of 22.59 grams. True widths for these holes ran between 57% and 80% of the core lengths listed above.

Claude considers the drill program to have demonstrated the continuity of both the 10 and 2c vein systems, which are both open along strike and at depth.
