Drilling at the Goldstream mine near Revelstoke, B.C., is extending the deposit down-plunge below the 350-metre level.
Joint-venture partners Goldnev Resources (VSE) and Bethlehem Resources (TSE) report that the first three holes of a 6-hole program returned highly variable grades and widths comparable to the developed portion of the mine. The drilling should allow the companies to reclassify a portion of the reserves below the 350 level to “drill-indicated” from “geologically inferred.”
A revised reserve estimate should be completed by late September. Results from the first three holes, including the hangingwall disseminated zone and the footwall disseminated zone (in the case of Hole 94-3), are as follows:
Hole Interval True Width Copper Zinc
(m) (m) (%) (%)
GS-94-1 351.83-361.36 8.96 1.53 1.46
GS-94-2 380.18-387.45 6.83 4.57 3.20
GS-94-3 372.19-376.26 3.69 2.35 1.05
