Drilling at Terramar

Diamond drilling is under way at Terramar Resource’s Reid mine property near Redding, Calif. The purpose of the program is to explore the northern extensions of the Spanish and Evening Star veins on the 200 adit level.

Prior to 1923, some 260,000 tons of ore grading 0.41 oz gold were reportedly mined from the Reid vein between the 800 level and surface, a distance of approximately 1,000 ft. This vein has been exposed for a strike length of some 1,000 ft and to widths of 29 ft on the 800 level, the company notes.

Drifting is progressing in the hanging wall of the Reid vein on the 800 level. Drill stations will be established so the downward extension of the Reid vein can be tested. The bulk of the drilling will be concentrated on the 800 level and it will include testing of the Reid and Evening Star veins.
