Drilling a bust at LDG

Drilling by De Beers Canada Exploration on the LDG (formerly Thor) property in the Northwest Territories failed to intersect kimberlite.

Three targets were drilled on the basis of till sampling and ground geophysical surveys. Yet, despite the recent disappointment, the company is still considering follow-up till sampling to define indicator mineral anomalies identified last summer.

De Beers can earn up to a 60% interest from Navigator Exploration (NVR-V) by funding all expenditures up to the completion of a feasibility study. The 500-sq.-km property lies 12 km south of the Diavik diamond mine project. De Beers Canada is a subsidiary of De Beers Consolidated Mines (DBRSY-Q).
