Toronto-listed Greater Lenora is encouraged by drill results from its Goldfields project in northern Saskatchewan.
The assays are from 11 infill holes and three deep exploration holes drilled in the Box Pit area.
The best infill results averaged 0.356 oz. gold per ton over 131.2 ft., which included an uncut assay of 2.62 oz. over 16.4 ft. Remaining assays ranged between 0.033 and 0.498 oz. over widths varying from 9.8 to 124.7 ft. Exploration drilling below the proposed open pit encountered mineralization within granite. Hole B94-150 intersected an uncut assay of 0.401 oz. over 111.6 ft., including a 19.7-ft. section that averaged 0.94 oz. The two other exploration holes tested mineralization below the lowest mine working levels. Results include 121.2 ft. of 0.152 oz. gold, and 62.3 ft. of 0.271 oz. gold.
Once all assays are received, Greater Lenora will complete reserve calculations for the Box and Athona open pits. Preliminary pit design, process confirmation and economic evaluation are being carried out prior to the full feasibility study, expected to begin in mid-January.
