`Digger’ Gorman concludes series with talk on prospecting

Well-known and respected geologist Dr. D.H. “Digger” Gorman will give the concluding paper in a series of five talks on prospecting and mining organized by the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada, the University of Toronto’s Department of Geology and the Ontario Geological Survey. Gorman, professor emeritus of geology at the University of Toronto, will speak on minerals and prospecting. Members of the public are invited to attend the series which will takes place every evening at 7.30-9.30 p.m., March 18-22, in the Macdonald Block, 900 Bay Street, Toronto.

Admission is free. Other subjects covered include the search for gold, financing alternatives, modern panning techniques and industrial minerals.
