Diamonds North and Stornoway JV in northern Manitoba

Vancouver – Diamonds North Resources (DDN-V) and Stornoway Diamond (SWY-T) have partnered-up to jointly explore the Manitoba Highlands project located in the James Bay Lowlands of the province’s northeastern area.

The project encompasses over 3,600 sq. km of the Superior Craton within a similar geological setting as DeBeers Canada’s Attawapiskat kimberlite field where it is developing the Victor pipe.

In 2004, Diamonds North flew a 15,000 line km airborne magnetic survey indicating about 50 anomalies, 15 of which rated as high priority. A number of kimberlite indicator minerals were also recovered from sampling.

The two companies will fund the exploration effort on a 50-50 basis with Diamonds North as operator.
