Diamondex revs its drills

Diamondex Resources (DSP-V) is readying for a 1,600-metre drill program to test several targets on the Czar, Hilltop and Bear Head properties in the southern Slave Craton of the Northwest Territories in early October.

On the Czar Property about 600 metres of drilling will aim to test three targets outlined by a 2,000-line-km geophysical survey and follow-up till sampling program.

The wholly owned 311-sq.-km property is situated about 225 km northeast of Yellowknife and sits to the immediate west of the King property.

Another 600 metes of drilling will be sunk on three geophysical targets on the Bear Head property. During the summer, a total of 305 till samples were collected from the property. Results of analysis for kimberlitic indicator minerals are pending.

The 1,400-sq.-km Bear Head property lies 220 km northeast of Yellowknife, and extends from the eastern edge of the Hilltop property and adjoins the southern boundary of the Camsell Lake claim block, which hosts the Snap Lake diamond project.

Diamondex plans to sink 400 metres on two airborne geophysical targets on Hilltop property. The property is host to a 1.5-by-7-km-long kimberlite indicator mineral train, for which a source has yet to be determined. Samples from the train are currently being processed and analyzed.

The 870-sq.-km property lies 180 km northeast of Yellowknife and sits immediately southwest of the Camsell Lake block.
