SouthernEra Resources (SUF-T) has placed an order for a modular dense media separation (DMS) plant, which will be commissioned early next year at its Klipspringer diamond project in South Africa.
The plant will have a capacity of 2,000 tonnes per day, sufficient to treat all bulk sample and production tonnage from the Marsfontein pipes, Leopard fissure, Sugarbird kimberlites and other sources in the prospect area. The plant will include a re-crushing circuit, X-ray recovery system, sorting house and security features.
In the meantime, work by SouthernEra continues at Klipspringer, including adit development of the Leopard fissure, which has now advanced more than 200 metres.
The company is also recruiting personnel with diamond operating experience, and continues to permit additional ground. The DMS plant will be placed centrally to the diamond projects on the company’s Modderfontein-Rusland farm.
