DIAMOND NEWS ROUNDUP — Agreement reached on Ghanian property

Vancouver-listed Mountain Lake Resources and Belgian-based Lazare Kaplan International have reached a deal that will help Mountain Lake acquire a diamond mining project in Ghana.

MLR will be solely responsible for the mining operations, and LKI will market the diamonds through its diamond trading office in Antwerp.

A team of MLR technicians recently evaluated the prospect of privatizing a diamond mine in Ghana, and concluded that the project is viable. MLR intends to acquire the diamond mine from the government of Ghana, which is already in the process of privatizing some of its mining operations.
