Montreal-listed partners Explorations Diabior and Garde, Societe d’Exploration Miniere have uncovered additional gold mineralization on their La Grande property in the James Bay Lowlands of Quebec.
Trenching and stripping led to the discovery of several mineralized outcrops within 100 metres of the original discovery, which yielded values of up to 19.6 grams gold per tonne.
Among samples collected from the new outcrops, 13 contained values exceeding 1 gram, and several returned assays ranging from 11.5 to 36.4 grams. The mineralization is associated with an east-west-trending shear zone and is open in all directions. The property comprises more than 25 km of this structure.
A geochemical survey has revealed the presence of several structures with gold anomalies over a distance of 15 km. Diabior and Garde will soon begin geophysical surveys on the property, prior to diamond drilling.
