Delbridge Mines (COATS) has acquired an option of the Railway claims located in Gauthier Twp., Ont. The 9-claim property protects a 1,800-ft gold-bearing zone which is silicified and carbonatized. Assays from previous work ranged up to 0.1 oz gold per ton in surface chip samples and 0.22 oz gold in a 4.4-ft section of drill core.
Delbridge is also examining a high purity marble deposit in Indonesia. The company’s consultants will be making a site visit shortly. At the company’s DeSantis gold property southwest of Timmins, Ont., a 2,000-ft zone loca ted south of the old shaft has been stripped for 300 ft. Visible gold has been seen in trenched sections. Surface samples have assayed up to 0.28 oz gold across 9.7 ft.
