D’Or Val Mines, which is scheduled to pour its first gold by month-end from its Beacon mine near Val d’Or, Que., has come up with a spectacular drill hole. Hole 96-13, drilled below the 7th level and 820 ft west of the shaft, intersected 42.3 ft grading 0.92 oz gold per ton. Included is a 17.5-ft section grading 2.17 oz gold.
The high grade intersection follows behind another recently reported strong hole which cut 15 ft grading 3.86 oz gold per ton. The new results are expected to add to the property’s reserve and grade, D’Or Val says. The mine hosts reserves of 312,424 tons grading 0.225 oz.
