Cyprus drops zinc play in Utah

Colorado-based Cyprus Minerals (NYSE) has terminated its option on Noble Peak Resources’ (ASE) Crypto zinc property in Utah.

Cyprus optioned the property in 1990 and carried out an exploration program which enlarged reserves to six million tons of sulphide ore grading 8.6% zinc and 3.5 million tons of oxide ore at 8% zinc. The deposit also contains gold, silver and copper credits.

Noble Peak is seeking a senior partner for the project.
