Currie Rose Resources (CUI-V, CUIRF-O) will continue drilling along strike to both the north and south of its Mwamazengo gold prospect, in Tanzania.
The company recently finished a 1,100-metre drill program on its Mabale Hills project, where the Mwamazengo prospect is located. Currie Rose drilled a total of 10 holes using both reverse-circulation and diamond drills.
The project is part of the Lake Victoria joint venture with Sub- Sahara Resources (SBS-A).
Currie Rose has a 40% stake in the property with the option to earn up to 70% by completing a feasibility study.
Highlights from the latest drilling include a 5-metre intersection that graded 2.25 grams gold per tonne, 22 metres that yielded 2.03 grams, 13 metres that averaged 3.22 grams and 3 metres of 29.34 grams gold.
Up next is an induced-polarization/resistivity ground geophysics program to help better define targets for the next drill program.
