Drill results have been released from the Boleo copper-cobalt project in Baja California Sur, Mexico.
In carrying out the 31-hole, 2,413-metre program, International Curator Resources (TSE) extended the Saturno-Mercurio zone to the northwest. The two adjoining areas comprise 9 sq. km and contain a strip-minable oxide reserve in the order of 60 million tonnes grading 0.8% copper and 0.07% cobalt. The project’s total strip-minable resource is estimated at 125 million tonnes grading 0.76% copper and 0.073% cobalt.
Mineralization is hosted primarily in the near-surface No. 3 bed, a flat-lying stratiform, sedimentary structure. Situated 40 to 50 metres above No. 3 is a separate bed, referred to as the No. 2. Curator feels the No. 2 bed may be mined in areas where No. 3 is deeper than 50 metres below surface; its reason for doing so would be to reduce stripping costs.
Once it receives assay results from the remaining 20 holes, Curator will update reserves for the Saturno-Mercurio zone. Selected drill results are as follows:
