A consultant’s report for Crowflight Minerals (CML-V) has added an inferred resource to a previously defined indicated resource at the Bucko nickel deposit in northern Manitoba.
The report, by P&E Mining Consultants, puts the inferred resource at Bucko at 1.6 million tonnes with an average grade of 1.88% nickel. P&E also formally reported the indicated resource of 1.8 million tonnes grading 2.1% nickel, which Crowflight used in recent feasibility work (T.N.M., Dec. 26/05). The cutoff grade used to calculate the resource figures was 1.5% nickel and the minimum drill hole intersection was 1.5 metres.
Most of the resources lie between the 600 and 1600 levels at Bucko, corresponding to vertical depths of 150 to 750 metres. Most of the indicated resource is above 375 metres and about 93% of the inferred resource is below it. Drill spacing for the indicated resource was a maximum of 35 metres.
Feasibility studies on the deposit modelled a minable reserve of 1.7 million tonnes at 1.92% nickel.
