In 2001, Australian consulting firm GRD Minproc — not Canada’s
SNC completed an optimization study for a 13-million-tonne-per-year mine at Rosia Montana in February 2002, and then completed basic engineering and additional work in February 2003.
Also, a photo accompanying the story showed workings at the Rosia Poieni copper-gold porphyry, immediately northeast of Gabriel’s Rosia Montana gold-silver deposit, near the Romanian town of Rosia Montana.
