Contrary to reports published in the Vancouver Stock Market column of Dec. 20, 1993, the 47 million tons of mineralization reported by Hycroft from its Brimstone exploration program is additional to the 45 million tons contained in the Crofoot-Lewis mine in Nevada.
The previously published 45 million tons at 0.021 oz. gold per ton at Crofoot-Lewis contained the then-defined Brimstone proven and probable reserves, which totaled 27.9 million tons grading 0.02 oz.
Hycroft, a subsidiary of Granges (TSE), recently updated the resource at Brimstone, after completing infill drilling. This deposit, less than one mile east of current open-pit operations, contains about 47 million tons of mineralization, an increase of 62% compared with the previous resource estimate of 29 million tons. The new grade is 0.017 oz., at an estimated stripping ratio of 1.7-to-1.
By late January, Hycroft expects to release a proven mining reserve for Brimstone.
