Correction (July 07, 1997)

In our June 30 issue, we incorrectly stated that Highland Pacific and its partner, Nord Pacific (NORPF-G), had secured financing for the Ramu nickel-Cobalt project in Papua New Guinea. In fact, financing for the US$760-Million project has not yet been arranged.
