Corona, Platinova drill 9 holes at Greenland bet

Nine holes were completed in addition to two wedge cuts from the last hole. Preliminary results have indicated grades of up to 0.3 oz gold per ton and 0.15 oz platinum group metals (pgm) per ton, said Robert Gannicott, Platinova president.

In one hole where complete data are available, a 6-ft section cut 0.1 oz gold and 0.04 oz pgm.

The drill sites were spaced at about 1-km intervals. The mineralized zone forms a continuous layer between the drill-hole intercepts, Gannicott said.

A major follow-up drill program is planned for 1990.
