A transaction announced previously whereby Avalon Corp. would have acquired the industrial mineral assets of Corona (TSE) has been terminated. Corona is the major shareholder of oil and gas producer Avalon. The deal called for Avalon to acquire the Fort Cady boric acid development project in California and a mica operation in Quebec.
Corona says it still intends to segregate its industrial mineral assets into a publicly traded, separate company.
