Corner Bay to open

MSV Resources (MSV-T) will advance development of its Corner Bay and Copper Rand projects in Quebec’s Chibougamau camp.

Work at the producing Copper Rand mine will involve exploring three mineralized horizons at depth. MSV also plans to open the Corner Bay copper mine this year, which will offset next year’s planned closure of its copper-gold Portage mine.

The company earned $3.3 million (or 11 cents per share) in 1995, compared with $3.9 million (15 cents per share) for the same period in 1994.

MSV is looking for a partner to fund additional development work at its Eastmain gold mine, where production is suspended.
