Corner Bay hits more high grade

A 3,400-metre definition drilling program at the Main Zone copper property, near Chibougamau, Que., has intersected high-grade copper mineralization over strong widths.

Soquem is earning 30% of the property from Corner Bay Minerals (TSE) by spending $1.2 million on exploration before year-end.

All 12 of the infill holes hit values ranging from 3.04% to 13.4% copper over widths of up to 5.7 metres. One of the best intersections in the shear zone returned 10% copper over 5.7 metres.

Before the latest drilling, reserves stood at at 1.4 million tons grading 4.46% copper.

Soquem, which can increase its interest in the property to 50% by spending an additional $1.2 million within three years, plans to drill another 5,000 metres.
