The mineralization was encountered in the main discovery trench within one of several copper soil anomalies on the east flank of a 3-km long geophysical anomaly. The area is covered by heavy glacial overburden and has no rock outcrops.
The best results from the trenching program are: 72.1 ft of 0.35% copper and 0.12 oz gold per ton; 49.2 ft of 0.53% copper and 0.016 oz gold; and 55.7 ft of 0.26% copper and 0.010 oz gold.
Cazador’s 30,000-acre property, accessible by road from Burns Lake, covers a large polymetallic soil geochemical anomaly. A winter diamond drilling program is planned to follow up the successful trenching program.
Placer Dome (TSE) has a 12.6% interest in Vancouver-based Cazador Explorations.
