Workers at Noranda Minerals’ (TSE)Division Mines Gaspe in Quebec have voted 79.8% in favor of a new, 3-year collective agreement effective May 28.
The new contract provides for an 18.8% wage increase on base salary over the 3-year period. Improvements to the workers’ pension plan, life insurance, and severance plan are also included in the agreement.
The Mines Gaspe division, employs 570.
