Construction starts at Cheni project

On site construction work is under way at Cheni Gold Mines’ Toodoggone area gold project north of Smithers, B.C. The company has successfully completed its $38.1-million public offering and signed the previously announced financial assistance agreement with the B.C. government for the 64-mile access route into the property.

The road contract was awarded to Joe Martin & Sons of Prince George and the six bridges required to Iota Construction of Abbotsford. T.M. Thompson & Associates of Victoria will be construction managers. Cheni says that total ex penditures in relation to these contracts will total approximately $6 million. The work is scheduled for completion by year-end.
