Diamond drilling at the Lynn Lake property near Flin Flon, Man., has returned lower gold grades and higher base metal values than previous intercepts.
The assays also confirmed the continuity of mineralization, Consolidated Callinan Flin Flon Mines (CUFF-V) reports.
Hole 12 intersected 34.91 ft. grading 0.02 oz. gold and 0.56 oz. silver per ton, as well as 0.85% copper and 1.21% zinc, whereas hole 11 returned 10.89 ft. of 0.02 oz. gold, 0.38 oz. silver, 0.5% copper and 0.69% zinc.
Previous assays included 34.52 ft. of 0.19 oz. gold, 0.61 oz. silver, 0.5% copper and 0.17% zinc in hole 7.
The sulphide mineralization appears to trend more to the west and may be on the horizon intersected in hole 4. That hole, drilled 450 metres to the west, returned 13.86 ft of 0. 02 oz. gold, 0.37 oz. silver, 1.46% copper and 2.34% zinc.
The mineralization occurs as semi-Massive-To-Massive pyrrhotite and pyrite, with chalcopyrite and sphalerite. Strong biotite-Chlorite alteration is noted in a highly contorted complex horizon.
Mid-North Resources (MNU-A) has a back-in interest, allowing it to pay 25% of exploration costs to earn a 25% stake in the property. Consolidated Callinan is the operator.
