Conference will shed light on mineral potential of Quebec’s North Shore

The North Shore Exploration Summit will be held June 6-8 at L’Abri Educational Centre in Port-Cartier, Que.

The summit, which will focus on the mineral potential of the region, is being sponsored by the North Shore Prospectors Association, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Economic Development Corporation of Port-Cartier, and the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy & Petroleum.

Programs will include a geologic tour of the area between Port-Cartier and Franquelin, as well as other mineralized showings of the Port-Cartier area.

Topics for discussion include: mining development of the North Shore; prospecting and mineral exploration; and base, precious and industrial metals.
