Comm-lite seminar

Comm-lite, a seminar on underground mines radio and lighting, will take place Nov 24-25 at Laurentian University in Sudbury. Co-sponsors of Comm-lite are the Ontario Ministry of Labor and Laurentian University School of Engineering, Mines Accident Prevention Association of Ontario and canmet.

The 2-day seminar will feature a mix of panel speakers, lecturers, discussions and hands-on exhibits from manufacturers and government. The radio communications will provide a setting for users, suppliers and interested parties to exchange information on the “state- of-the-art.” The lighting portion will have speakers from Australia, the United States and Canada plus information on new regulations and testing for lighting underground.
